Many of you may know the famous Spanish artist, Pablo Picasso. He is well known for exploring the abstract and the realistic human figure, however; he has worked through a variety of medias (clay, metal, graphite, oil paint, charcoal, conte crayon... etc). Some of his interesting works consist of Man with a Guitar, The Bullfight, and Bathers. They are each the product of countless hours of work and clear materialization of his personal beliefs as well as his moods. Because his emotions were so heavily involved in his artistic process, he was easily able to convey his mood through the use of color and resulted in works from his blue and rose periods (Celestina and Lady with a Fan). The Picasso exhibit in the De Young museum (imported from Paris), displays his artistic achievements. This exhibit is a once in a life time opportunity for people in the Bay Area. See it; it be cool.
